Quant pioneer Renaissance Technologies LLC sent clients an analysis of its performance and a rationalization of recent deep losses, an unusual move for one of Wall Street’s most secretive firms.

In the letter sent late Friday, the firm said losses of between 20% and 30% in 2020 for its three funds open to outside investors should have been expected at some point during the course of the funds’ histories. The letter partly blamed heightened volatility for the weak performance.[回复]

纯粹的韭菜思维！西蒙斯的RenTech2019年管理750亿资产，为客户赚了56亿，回报率只有7.5%！而TCI管理资产270亿赚84亿，回报率31%。Long Pine赚73亿和Egerton赚50亿，他们管理资产分别是200亿，所以回报率分别是36%和25%。前四名相比，文艺复兴不是差一丢丢，而是差十万八千里！

再说了，2019年标普500指数回报率28.8%，比什么文艺复兴多赚整整两倍！
